Although Morningside Heights has gone through some significant neighborhood changes and is known as a “College Town” as it is home to Columbia, Barnard and a few other smaller schools, it has many public, and often landmarked, spaces. These public spaces have been preserved throughout the changes and make Morningside Heights more than just an area dominated by college students.
