My Experience
Well I must say that Night At The Museum was fantastic. I find museums to be unamusing, except for the Hall of Science (if that’s even an actual museum). However, this event was perfectly set up and allowed the students to engage amongst each other without any restrictions. Each floor had fascinating art pieces and the fact that we were able to have fun without being sophisticated made it all the better. My favorite painting that I have a picture of was “July.” It was painted by Larry Rivers in 1956. Normally, I would pass by a painting like this because I’d perceive it to be too sloppy and not consider it to be art. But this one’s “sloppiness” stood out. The oil smudges contributed to the painting’s energy. I felt as if the smudges added vibration to the wheels of the bicycle, causing them to move alongside the breeze blowing the leaves on the trees. It’s amazing when you view something from a whole new perspective. You see more than what you usually would.
