This article centers around the danger of the rising temperatures all across the world. The increase in temperatures have grave effects on inhabitants of especially warm countries, resulting in deaths and serious illnesses. Researchers have found that if we continue to idly let climate change occur, and experience a steady rise in temperature, we are looking at an alarming rise in death rates solely due to the rise in temperature. For example, they found that in southeast Asia, which inhabitants countries such as India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, if the temperature keeps rising in the next 60 or so years, by the time we hit 2090, we can expect to see an estimated 13% rise in death rates solely due to the changing climate. Southern Europe, inhabiting countries such as Greece and Italy, are also set to experience an estimated 6% increase in death rates by that same time margin as well. While researchers found that colder countries, such as Russia, will not experience a great increase nor decrease in death rates if temperatures rise, they were able to point out that warmer countries are at the biggest risk for climate change. They went on to say later that we could potentially stop these alarming percentages by reducing greenhouse emissions, however, they did not go into details. The main purpose of this article seems to be listing statistics to get readers to become alarmed, and want to have an input on how to fight climate change.

Researchers finding that warmer countries are at the greatest risk for deaths caused by a rise in the temperatures is quite a large milestone. These countries inhabit millions of residents, with India being the second most populous country with a whopping 1.3 billion residents. It is important to see that the numbers in warmer countries outnumber those in the colder countries, and that we must all make strides to help climate change. Before, many people would think of climate change and immediately think of melting ice caps, and a loss of habitat for many animals. While these effects by climate change are disheartening, most humans still did not see the importance of this. However, this data shows how increasing temperatures are directly affecting the human population gravely. Occurring deaths as a result of intense temperature change frightens many humans, and this could be the push that allows them to help reduce greenhouse emissions.
