Education

Only 16% of Puerto Ricans in the country obtaining at least a bachelors degree, they must not be receiving proper education.

Living in communities hurt Puerto Ricans in a sense, unless they were willing to completely leave and be an outcast in another school to be able to get a better education, they were forced to stay in schools that did not do much for them. The schools consisted of a mixture of minorities and they were public schools. Among them, some mentioned behavior problems and having to be on top of teachers to get information[1]. This is the stereotype of most schools, and then there is the whole idea of believing that because you’re in a bad school in a bad neighborhood nothing is going to become of you. Most minorities fall into this track, which leads to statistics like the ones found.
