The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) provides very generous funding for research-based masters and doctoral programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. Fields in the social sciences, such as psychology, are also included. The program supports outstanding students early in their careers and encourages members of under-represented groups to apply. Application deadlines vary from October 29, 2014 to November 4th, 2014 (depending on your field). You don’t need to have a graduate school acceptance letter by the time you submit the fellowship application, but the award is contingent on graduate school admission.
