"I found this and saved a post about it and I just posted it haha. Oh well, looks like you beat me to it. I really like figment so I guess thats why I posted about it too. In middle and high school and still today I write short stories and novels and I found no way to get them published other than my school's literary magazine (which no one looked at anyway). You might see some Samantha Nathanson works on figment quite soon..."

"No, I unfortunately didn't take them. I got them from Google. The crowds were so nuts around Macys it wouldn't have been possible to get a picture myself."

"I love it that I can now say "oh, this reminds me of [cultural event] I saw last week" I feel so smart :)"

"I am not musically inclined at all. I can play one song on guitar. I'll probably show it to all of you tomorrow in class. But seriously, I disagree that everyone has the capacity for perfect pitch. I didn't ever have it. I can apply everything Victor Wooten said to enjoying music. I enjoy music with a lot of the same emotion it takes to play it.... I think. I mean, that tribal instinct to dance or bop along whenever you hear a good song, I feel that. So I can't be so musically stunted right? Practically everyone in my family has played an instrument. Mom plays piano and everyone plays drums. I'm the black sheep of the family. I have no idea what that proves, but oh well."

"Hey, I guess Wooten was right, if you love something, you just relate it to everything else...."

"I really connect to the idea that you have to love what you do or else its not worth even trying. It's like whenever I sit down to make a movie. If the movie is assigned in a class and I am not emotionally invested in it, the movie will turn out like crap. If I came up with a documentary idea that I am really interested in and that I actually want to explore, it's going to turn out to be am amazing film. I also love the idea of "teachers" who are not actually your teacher. The director of the technical theater department at my high school taught me more useful information than my film teachers ever could. Yeah, my film teacher taught me how to made edits and how to insert effects (the notes), but my "teacher" taught me about human beings and how we all have a story to tell (the silence). Yeah, the editing techniques would get me to produce a movie, but it wouldn't have the heart and soul without what my "teacher" provided."

"I do not judge you for your love of Jason Mraz. Alyssa, ToniAnn and I are sitting in our living room listening to all of his stuff. I was inspired by his songs while writing my post."

"Alyssa, can we actually go to this? Strangely I would not mind seeing it."
