Ensuring that their children receive a quality education has been the strategy that many working class Americans use, hoping that their children will transcend thier humble beginnings.  However, what happens when education is no longer the great equalizer?  Today’s Times piece describes an alarming trend that impacts the average person’s ability to move on up.
