Bloomberg and Parks

Bloomberg seems to view the government as his tool for implementing unique experiments for personal curiosity. A lot of his projects are to make new yorkers healthier, to help white kids have a place to play or become more creative, or other restrictions he purposes because he thinks he knows best. Is it really his place?

Parks are great, I am not denying that. But he seems to be taking the Robert Moses approach and taking from the poor to give to the rich. For instance, his imagination playground must have been someone’s property before he decided it he must build a new type of park there. It could prove to help children become better citizens and working members of society. But again is that his job?

Bloomberg takes his personal agendas and turns them into city investment. Though they may be good for us, is this what we want from our government?
