“I did not think I was going to be a teacher. As a matter of fact, my high school principal told me that I should be a teacher and I laughed at her. I always thought I was going to law school or to get a PHD in political science. I started teaching as a one-year job because there was a teacher on a sabbatical and I fell in love with it. I stayed and worked as a teacher for 16 years. I love it. You never stop learning, it’s incredibly creative, exciting and thrilling. It touches on so many skills and is really fun! What is interesting is that when I looked back, every career choice I thought I wanted to do hinted to teaching. My PHD essay was about teaching political science and my law school essay was also about teaching. I guess all along I really did want to be a teacher.”- High School Principal
