Travel

Travelling is a must-do when studying abroad, and I believe it’s the funnest part of the entire experience. Although I didn’t travel as much as I should have because I was busy studying, I managed to travel to Busan, Gyeongju and Jeju Island during the semester. I traveled to all these places by myself.  It was the first time I travel alone, and I absolutely love it. I enjoyed planning the entire trip, from finding transportation and accommodation to deciding my itinerary. And you can actually learn more about the country by going through all the traveling information. Though traveling alone can sometimes be boring, but you can control everything throughout your trip. For people who enjoys the maximum amount of freedom, traveling alone is the way to go. After this amazing experience, I will definitely do more backpacking in the future.

Korea is a very easy place to travel. First, its transportation system is very developed and easy to navigate. Whether you are traveling within a city or going between cities, there are public transportation take you to your destination. Moreover, every Korean public transportation system has English announcement system, so you don’t need to worry getting lost. Second, the Korean tourism organization is extremely helpful on planning your trip. There are tourist information centers in all airports, major train stations and tourist sites. Staffs working in the center can all speak English and are very friendly. There are also numerous pamphlets and maps that are free to take. These information are very helpful for travelers. I would say my trip will be so much more difficult without these information centers.
