Hey, everyone! My name is Emily Yeung (pronounced as young; trust me, I’ve had my fair share of mispronunciations) and I am 18 years old. I was born in Manhattan but have spent most of my life in Queens.
Before coming to Baruch, I went to Brooklyn Tech. I was on the girl’s bowling team for three years. You might think that bowling isn’t a sport but it really is. It takes time and practice to make sure that your ball hits that sweet spot for a strike.
While I’m still on the topic of sports, does anyone watch basketball? Though I can’t play well, I adore it. I was at Madison Square Garden last season and watched Houston play against the Knicks. We lost terribly. However, it was beyond amazing cheering with everyone else whenever the Knicks made a bucket. My friend also caught me a Knicks Now tee during the t-shirt shooting!
I love kids. I’ve worked at two different summer camps and have enjoyed each experience greatly. Getting to know them can pose to be quite challenging at times but going separate ways in the end is always bittersweet. I miss all of my kids dearly but I know they’re going to make me proud in whatever they aspire to accomplish.
So that’s my tip of the iceberg. Thanks for reading and I can’t wait to meet you all in our Macaulay community!
I love watching basketball – Harden is the best!
You have to teach me how to bowl… 18 years and I’ve only managed a spare twice. Sadly, and embarrassing to say, I still use those bumpers so that my ball won’t constantly end up in the gutter >.<
If we ever get the chance to, sure! 🙂
