Building on fire, no just another marketing method

Couple of days ago when I was walking through the streets of Soho I stabled across something I have never seen before. Just to assure you, to say that you haven’t seen something “like that” in New York City is almost impossible.
It was already after dusk when I looked up to notice this marvelous game of lights. Right there, on the corner of East Houston and Mulberry stood an empty building. But it wasn’t just any empty building. Each of the windows was lighted by a different color. The kept on appearing and disappearing, as if somebody was running up and down the stairs turning lights on and off. I stood like that, entranced, speechless, for couple of minutes, wondering what was this place.
As I came back home I researched it. And as it turned out it is and empty apartment building that because of the recession wasn’t able to sell out all the lofts. Looking for clients, the architect used this game of colors to attract spectators, and promote his project.
Being in economic trouble make people do wonders. I am asking myself, what will come next?
