I myself was oblivious or didn't pay much attention to some of my dad's experiences in his youth. It hard to realize that the our fathers, when they sit before us, have actually gone through such hard times. It hard to imagine that our environments can be so different, especially when it comes to schools systems. Harsh disciplinary practices, that we wouldn't even consider possible were too common at our parents times. Your father seems to really have gone through much trouble and hard-time. You imagery is very vivid and descriptive. I'm glad you discovered a great deal about your father. This project truly helped us understand a lot about the different environments our loved-ones were in. It’s true that we forget the hardships our parents were faced when they were young.
