David Mills at Macaulay
by Simon on Dec.11, 2011, under Meet The Artist
David Mills recited Langston Hughes poetry at the Macaulay Meet the Artist Event. I was expecting to see him on stage when I sat down, but Mills surprised the audience by walking on stage from the entrance to the theater when everyone was already sitting.
Mills performed a story by Hughes about a conman who pretends to be a reverend and tries to steal money from people at church. Mills was very into the characters that he performed and was showing a lot of emotion. The story was very interesting because it was shocking to hear about a man trying to steal money at a holy place.
David Mill’ light up the stage with his acting. He brought Langston Hughes poetry and stories to life.
