Hey, it’s Layanah!

 

Hello everyone! My name is Layanah Nsouli and I’m a freshman at Baruch College. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, but I currently live in Staten Island. Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively in the Middle East. Because my family lives in Lebanon, I typically go to Beirut every summer. These trips to Lebanon have truly defined me because while I am a proud American, I find myself at home in two countries. My Lebanese background has also opened up opportunities for me to travel to several other Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. The fascinating tourist attractions, rich culture, and natural beauty of each destination made my travels incredible and unforgettable.

So, on that note, Iam excitedto immerse myself in the culture and arts of New York City. I look forward to a great semester and an amazing four years at Macaulay!
