Here is New York

“Commuters give the city its tidal restlessness, natives give it solidity and continuity, but the settlers give it passion.” This statement seems to hold true for a large amount of New York City. Commuters are always trying to get somewhere because they are late or they just want to get somewhere early. Native New Yorkers form groups based on ethnicity, which in turn gives New York a writhing structure. Settlers from places all around the world flock to New York City in hopes and dreams of getting a better life. They bring in the culture and flow of their native lands. This in turn adds to the so called “Melting Pot,” something termed from other Americans to describe New York City.
