“We are living in dystopia, in a world that is dominated by technology and disconnect, alienation, loneliness, and dysfunction.” – Steven Wilson

Your Creative Project is very powerful because with the rate of technological advancements in our society, I wouldn’t be surprised if human interaction ceased to exist. Your photographs really highlight how we as a society are glued to our phones, and it is interesting to note the different reasons behind being glued to our phone. Some people use their phones to communicate to their loved ones, some people want to capture the moment, and some use it for entertainment.
I found your project very interesting because of how everything is becoming technologized, people start to forget about living in the moment. For example, when people go to concerts, they are so focused on taking videos so that they can have that moment forever they forget to actually enjoy it in the moment. It shows how technology could possibly create a life wehre people cease to obtain meaningful connections.
It seems the entire world is glued to their phone , forgoing the beauty that exists outside of their screens. Even on the trains, I see toddlers memorized by the virtual world that constantly grabs at their attention. Your gallery masterfully captures the essence of these challenges presented by the digital age.
