The Color in Our Lives

We often overlook the colors we see

Surrounded by so much monochromes

Black, white, gray

Those many consider to be color when in truth are merely a shade

We tend to forget that color is what is more natural

Color is what actually surrounds us

Yet it seems we are afraid

Afraid of color

“A pop of color” is what we call it if there is any to be found

As if it is a rarity

And in an ever modernizing world, color is a rarity

Don’t let it be

Start to admire the small beauty that these ‘rarities’ offer

And let life be colorful

I never realized how colorful our world is. Oftentimes I am too occupied to really look at my surroundings, so your photographs really serve as a breath of fresh air. There seems to be so much life among these images due to the vivid colors present, and your project has inspired me to really start looking at the world around me before it ceases to exist. Who knew the sky can emit different shades of blue and hues of orange or yellow?
