I love autumn,
Her beautiful colors,
Her lovely lipstick shades
Scarlet red and toffee brown
Surely she’s quite a stunner
I love autumn,
How the ruffles of her dress
Swirl, twirl and fall
How her cool breath
Brings only death
I love autumn,
She is cruel,
She strips the leaves of
Their emerald green
And let’s them watch in agony
As their life strips away
To tangerine
I love autumn,
How she strips away their
Hope and faith
Until they let go of the branch
And accept their fate
I love autumn,
How she watches
The life before her fall
Onto their knees before her
How she simply laughs
At them all
