More Metaphors

by Erin Ajello

At the time, you were an outfit I could not afford that I would have sold my soul for. So when I finally got to try you on, I was so busy showing you off that I simply ignored all the mirrors before me. But if I would have looked, then I would have seen how horrible you looked on me. An outfit mismatched and the wrong size, no accessories could save me from always looking the fool. It is with pride that I can look in the mirror now and say:
I have better taste.
