Watch the time, watch it go
From birth to death, I have watched its circular flow
Waiting, wanting…
to see those golden gates
You know, the ones that do not discriminate
“Five”
I have prayed and I have cried
To die, to die, to die!
And now that I am gone, I will not be missed
To them, I was nothing, I am nothing at all
“Four”
Not a tree, not a dog, only small
Because there is no sun, there is no hope
All I am is crack and dope
As I watched that white man
shoot off my nigger face
I couldn’t help but wonder,
what is wrong with this awful place?
All that I had wished was not to die like my ancestors
All that I had wished was not to cry like my ancestors
All that I had wished was to die like my successors
“Three”
Why a gun and not an atomic bomb?
Why not just kill us once and for all?
“Two”
But before you do, all that I ask is
that you give them a week,
just a week in advance
A week to…
“One. Time’s up!”
