I have all these scars
Battles have a way of leaving their marks
Slashed along my body like stars
People have their way of leaving their marks
There’s a story on my skin
Don’t know where I should begin
Tells a tale of pain
And how I was born again
My words were made to hurt
Sharp knives heading towards the heart
Took you down without a single thought
Leaving you behind, gonna let you rot
Did my damage
Because you couldn’t let me be
I’m a savage
It’s what you made me
I had to break to begin
Put myself together, better
To make sure that I win
Raise myself up high, higher
I am chipped, cracked and raw
But I found strength in my flaws
Coming back at you, full power
Throwing you from your tower
My words were made to hurt
Sharp knives heading towards the heart
Took you down without a single thought
Leaving you behind, gonna let you rot
Did my damage
Because you couldn’t let me be
I’m a savage
It’s what you made me
I let you drink straight out of my well
You emptied it out, left without looking back
Left me parched in a blistering heat
In a desert of your own creation
You got under my skin
Invaded my peace of mind
Burned through my patience
Poisoned my kindness
Went through all of your chances
Well, I’m done
My words were made to hurt
Sharp knives heading towards the heart
Took you down without a single thought
Leaving you behind, gonna let you rot
Did my damage
Because you couldn’t let me be
I’m a savage
It’s what you made me
