It’s a trap.
They urge uniqueness.
Yet, implement the same barriers –
The same format and coding,
To create equilateral beings on a conveyer belt of “ethics.”
How are we to be different?
Some of us take the batteries out of our asses
And run on ambition – or a mere hatred of “The Plan.”
Some of us pretend that we are not constrained
But “moral” and “decent.”
It’s a trap.
“Go to Medical School” to save lives that I didn’t endanger?
“Become a lawyer” to make money and bathe in corruption? – The most exceptional careers Include sitting under textbooks for several years to earn a paper with power.
We can’t all be the best of the best so we have to be different – we have to be different while being told to do the same fucking things as others.
It’s a trap and I can’t breathe!
Change is great – until it gets one killed
A bullet for my darlings, torched by the damned
Constrained by the good.
YOU ARE NOT DIFFERENT – when you become another hashtag
When a hijab means you’re a terrorist regardless of the extent of your “Bald Eagle” pride
When “getting off” has societal limitations
When many of the unique minds
End up a memory vacant.
