Teaching and Learning Collaboratory Fellows (TLCs) are doctoral candidates and experienced teachers who help students get the most out of their Macaulay seminars and college experience. TLCs work with students and their professors to create educational experiences that help them think deeply about new ideas and put them in control of technology and their digital identity.
As doctoral candidates, TLCs are experts in local disciplinary research and scholarship. A wide range of scholarly disciplines are represented on the team – from English literature and writing, to sociology, to the natural sciences, to history, and comparative literature, and many more. As emerging researchers, TLCs also share their methodological skills to enhance experiential learning activities.
Keeping abreast of the latest scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) is a fundamental part of the TLC repertoire. We critically engage with research on teaching with technology, active learning, classroom engagement, pedagogical theories, assessments, and much more.
