It sounds like art for you is a kind of conversation–it’s not just a one-way communication.
I think that there is usually more to interpret in a work than the artist intended, especially when it comes to abstract pieces.
Yeah, the idea of art as something that is meant to convey a message is really interesting. It reminds me of art like Duchamp’s “In Advance of the Broken Arm” and 4:33, where the main point was to convey a message to the audience instead of showing them something beautiful or extraordinary.
