10/28 and 10/30	Opera	10/28 NO CLASS Meet at Lincoln Center Fountain for Metropolitan Opera performance of Carmen	A Beginners’ Guide to the Opera Etiquette for Opera and Ballet Carmen: A Hip-Hopera with Jay-Z and Beyoncé (no need to watch it all unless you want to). An orange on Sesame Street sings the Habanera aria from Carmen. And it is sung (with the wrong words) on Gilligan’s Island. Similarly, the Toreador aria with the wrong words from the same episode. NEW!!! NYT review of the production of Carmen that we saw
