The researcher analyzed rhetoric used in the discussion of the controversy of the supposed link between Autism Spectrum Disorder and medical vaccinations. They concluded that rhetor’s conceptions of the boundaries of scientific disciplines played as large of a role in their argumentation as their knowledge of the actual scientific facts at hand.
