Hadas Kolodny

A trip to the Holy Land can not be sealed in completion without a Schnitzler/Brandwein family outing to shuk pishpushim, in Old Yafo. Some might call us crazy for traveling so far only to sift through junk and garage store worthy items, or out of our minds for antique shopping for houses over six thousand miles away, yet us ladies love any excuse to shop til we drop no matter our local.

So on this last visit, sans my mama, grandma and aunt, I made the trek alone to see what this port city had in store for me. Instead of snatching the steals and grabbing the bargains, I spotted my new favorite boutique-Hadas Kolodny. Filled with racks of silks and Lycra’s, shelves of cashmere and wool, and hangers with prints and patterns galore-this shop had such a Parisian aura to it. Street sweeping maxi skirts lying next to chunky knits could not scream Zara more. Wide leg pants avec silk blouses began calling my name. Hadas, the ever-so friendly store owner with such a charm became my best friend. Sharing with me her love for New York and past work experience in the city of bright lights (sales associate in Sabon-can’t you just smell the lemon verbena) we chatted it up a bit as a I tried on a silky and skimming natural hued skirt that I have not taken off since.

Highly recommend this boutique for some out of the box clothing, glamorous accessories, and note worthy customer service. Happy Boutique-ing!
