1. What did you do?
We decided to map Columbus Ave between 67th and 68th St. We took videos of the exterior and interior of the stores as well as interviewed the employees. Then, we added the videos onto Google map.
2. Why did you choose it?
We felt that just by looking at the shops was not enough, so we wanted to create visuals with plenty of dialogue describing our experience on the block.
3. What did you learn?
We learned how to create a map on Google Map and embed videos into the map locations.

We went to Lincoln Center and filmed the construction scaffolding that surrounds the front of the building. We used dipity and youtube to create a brief timeline of the reconstruction.
Why did you choose it?
It simply struck us as interesting. We had seen Lincoln Center before and had never asked about the construction going on there.
What did you learn?
How to create timelines on dipity and that Lincoln Center is 16. 3 acres.
We videotaped window displays in various stores along Columbus Avenue, then created a map on GoogleMaps and linked videos of the window fronts to their locations on the map.
We stopped in Thomas Drugs to buy batteries for our flipcam, noticed their pretty window display, and decided to look for other interesting window displays nearby.
We learned how create a map on GoogleMaps, save our own points, and embed YouTube videos onto them.
We chose the Loews Movie Theater, located on 68th and Broadway. We went to the theater and interviewed an employee, a movie goer and a frustrated ticket consumer. This venue is important as it is a cultural destination to both New York residents and tourists alike. It is home to many newly released films as well as BAFTA screenings. In addition, this venue houses an IMAX theater. We learned that employees can receive certain benefits. In addition, we learned what types of people to expect to see at different times, as well as genres of movies they prefer. Overall, it was a great, enlightening experience and we highly recommend this theater to all our fellow Macaulay students.

1. For our project we used the flip cam and the iMovie editor.
2. We had used the technology on a previous basis, and we thought that we would need more practice using the iMovie application. We thought collectively as a group that the iMovie application was the most appropriate.
