My exhibit would be more like a collection of art, rather than just one type. I was greatly inspired by Hélio Oiticica’s exhibit in the Whitney and his use of interaction. The pieces I picked (from the Artsor database) are just to give a general idea of what I want the exhibit to look like, and in fact, although the best I could find, was not what I would have chosen to fully express my view of the exhibit like I wanted. I attached a few examples of the music I would want the people to listen to while in the “Body Motion” room though. I did not include any performances because I wanted it to be more interactive and not stand still. The exhibit is geared to those who want something more interactive than just gazing upon art. Each room contains a different medium of art, from different time periods and from people of different backgrounds. My hope is to let people explore the different ways one can enjoy art.
