Philip Lorca-DiCorcia is an American artist who experimented with light and dark, and color contrast, drawing inspiration from Garry Winogrand (photographer) and, in my opinion, Edward Hopper (painter). His photographs are full of vibrant energy, each carrying the specific auras of city life, human emotion, and body language. His unique sense of pairing complimentary colors that take the eye around the page demonstrates a bold venture into a dream-like world, especially through his use of depth-of-field. Please take a moment to explore my Prezi and gather your own interpretations of his distinguished style as a contemporary American photographer.
