When trying to represent the beginning of our college and Macaulay career, there is no better portrayal of our initial feelings than “The Scream” by Edvard Munch. Walking into the new, unfamiliar, and challenging environment of college we couldn’t help but feel anxious and afraid. After trying to navigate our way to our first Macaulay Seminar class and having no idea where we were going, the frustration built up to the point where we wanted to “scream.” It seemed like everyone around us knew what they were doing, and we were alone in our uneasiness. However, only a few days in, we are already comfortable and are continuing to adjust to the new, exciting experience!
