This video shows viewers that Astoria is much more than just the Beer Garden and Greek food. Lawrence Weibman, host of “NYC Food Tour,” takes viewers to three local restaurants in Astoria. Weibman visits the Strand Smokehouse, Tufino Pizzeria, and BZ Grill. Although the first two restaurants don’t appear to serve Greek and Mediterranean food just through their names, the owner of Strand Smokehouse and the owner’s wife of Tufino Pizzeria are both Greek, so some part of the menus still tie back to Greek food. Overall, the videos show the diversity of the food in Astoria while also highlighting three of the best restaurants of the neighborhood, and shows that Greek culture is still represented in some way even if the restaurants aren’t known to serve Greek food.
