Environmental protest in South Slope
On Seventh Avenue in South Slope, my husband and I stumbled across this work walking our kids to school early on Tuesday morning. Several other passers-by also stopped wondering if the owner of the business in front of which this stood put this up as… decoration, one resident wondered. Some interpreted this as a piece of art, albeit it ‘an ugly one’ as someone said. I called it a protest: someone stole all of the yellow pages dumped on every doorstep up and down the block and built this in the wee hours.
