DENY AP Credits Use this form if you need to deny AP credits.

Math Placement Exam
All students without AP credits are automatically placed into MATH 1006: College Algebra for Precalculus. If you think you are ready to take precalculus or calculus, you can take the placement exam by following the instructions at this link. Let your advisor know when you’ve gotten your results. Note that not all students need to take these classes, so if you are a non-STEM major, speak to your advisor about which math to take to fulfill your Pathways requirement.

E-Petition for an Exception to the Bulletin
If you are seeking an exception to the college policies, such as taking over 18 credits, substituting courses. taking any of your last 18 credits on e-permit., you need to file a petition online through WebCentral >E-Services>Petitions.You need a letter of support from your department. See instructions at this link.

E-Permits: If you’re taking a course at another CUNY campus, you need to file an E-Permit in order to register for the class. Speak to your advisor about your plans in order to have your honors hold lifted. The application is found at CUNYfirst > Student Center > Course Planning and Enrollment > Epermit. Instructions at this link.

***If you are submitting a permit for an upper level honors course at Macaulay, you can list it as a general elective and note in the comment box that the equivalent is SPCM 3150. If you would like a different equivalent, such as credits in your major, please consult the corresponding academic department.

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is a federal law regarding the privacy of student records and the obligations of the institution, primarily in the areas of release of the records and the access provided to these records. If you are eighteen years old, you must file a release form to give us permission to speak to your parents about any details of your college record. Enrollment Verification Form: If you need verification of enrollment for insurance or other purposes, you can find information here.
