Hello

I really don't have that many pictures of me in my possession, so this one is going to have to do for now.

Hi everybody. My name is Kevin. I’m planning on transferring and then studying computer engineering and physics at CCNY next year (I initially thought I wanted a degree in business, but it turns out I don’t really like it). I’ve been programming for quite a while now, working as a freelance algorithm developer on a bunch of different projects. Programming, physics, and math are my main hobbies. I came to NY when I was 14, and lived most of those years in a conflict ridden area. Anyway, what else? I guess I don’t really discriminate against any genre of music; I pretty much listen to it all. I’m quite open to anything new–whether we’re talking about music, movies, culinary experiences, or really anything (Except for Lil Wayne. Then no.). And yeah I guess that’s pretty much it. I hope to get to know you all. over the course of this semester.

Hi

My name is Nicholas Patrick Nelson.  A lot of people call me a lot of different things, (some more flattering than others,) but Nick usually suffices.  I was born in Queens, raised in Levittown (Long Island), and currently dorm on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.  I enjoy playing/watching baseball and football (Yankees & Giants), listening to all sorts of music, drumming, and eating terribly unhealthy food (wings, red meat, potatoes, etc.)  I’m probably leaving a lot about me out, but neither of us probably has the time, and I don’t have the attention span, for anymore details.

Hello!

Hey guys! I’m Joanna and I’m studying to be an actuary. In my spare time I enjoy baking and photography (more specifically wildlife and food photography). I’ve lived in Brooklyn and Queens but now that I dorm on the Lower East Side it has finally allowed me to truly begin exploring the great borough of Manhattan. Recently I’ve started to discover the city more, just taking walks and seeing where my feet take me. I love travelling all over the world and immersing myself in new cultures. I speak Polish, have dabbled in Spanish throughout my middle and high school years, and am currently taking Italian. I’m always excited to explore new food, language, and culture.

I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you better!

Derek’s Bio

Hey, I’m Derek!

I grew up in outskirts of Queens. It’s quaint and quiet. Great to just sit on my stoop and ponder life when it’s all happening to fast. I’m a entrepreneur. Ideas come and go. In a way, all New Yorkers are entrepreneurs, selling their identities and personalities to one another. We market ourselves by the way we dress and the way we speak. My latest project I’m working on is with  a company called CityMaps, an online map service. One of its greatest features is that if a business tweets about a deal, it can pop up on the map.

I love cooking cuisines from every culture. I came a long way from sitting in front of the TV watching Good Eats, and Iron Chef on the Food Network. My current obsession is South American food. I hope to travel abroad to Bogota, Colombia. I’m knowledgeable about French and British cuisine. Molecular gastronomy fascinates me and during high school I considered majoring in chemistry just to pursue that specific type of food science.

Naturally since I love to cook, I appreciate good food. I am always searching for the next great food place in the city, so I make a list of places and leave it here: Gotham Grub. I would love any recommendations! All ears.

Cheers.

hello class!

Hello everyone! My name is Hye Min Lee  (pronounced as Hae Min). I was born in South Korea until my family moved to New York when I was in 2nd grade and I’ve been living in Queens since then. When asked about my intended major I always say accounting, but I actually have no idea. I want to explore more! I love researching lots and lots of must-go restaurants around the city, trying new food and enjoying good dinners with good people. I love polariods and lomography, though often times my printed films rarely look anything like I’ve expected them to look like when taking them. I look forward to meeting you all!

HI!

Hey everyone, my name is Anna and I was born and raised in Manhattan (the 6 train is my life). As strange as this may sound, I am currently on the pre-med track here at Baruch College. I love the sciences and my favorite is Psychology. I play Ultimate Frisbee and like to Step, which are two things most people have never heard of. Get to know me and I can tell you more about both!

Allow Me To Introduce Myself

Hello there ya’ll, my name’s Josh Gross. Raised on Long Island, I currently reside in an apartment in the Washington Heights area, with a roommate who goes to school way up there. A huge closet nerd, I am actually a lover of history and have a encyclopedic knowledge of every Twilight Zone episode (no, not the 90s version). I am a finance  major, but also have many other hobbies and interests including skiing, hiking, and nature in general. If this were a match.com listing I would have to mention walks on the beach and candlelit dinners.

Всем привет!

My name is Anastasia, and I’m an aspiring International Business major…well, for the moment at least, since I can never seem to make up my mind. I guess the problem is that I have too many varied interests; one day I am set on going to law school, and the next day I seriously want to drop everything and become a visual artist. I love to draw, paint, dance (classical ballet for 12 years now), travel, read, learn, and explore New York City. I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and I’m fluent in both English and Russian. I’m excited to meet everybody in the class, and I hope that this semester will be both fun and rewarding.

My Introduction!

Hi, I’m Johanna! I live in Greenwich, Connecticut and commute to Baruch everyday. I hope to major in Corporate Communications with a minor in psychology or Spanish because I am very interested in both psychology and languages.  I lived in Sweden for seven years and go back there every summer with my family. I hope to study abroad in Germany in the next few years because it seems like a really cool place and I love the language. I enjoy doing a bunch of things, especially playing sports. I played both soccer and lacrosse in high school and now coach lacrosse, which is a lot of fun! I can’t wait to meet you all and have a great semester exploring the city together!

Introduction

Hey guys. My name is Ivan. I was born in Bulgaria and moved to New York City when I was 6. I am from Astoria, Queens and I love that neighborhood. There is always something to do there, plus I live only 30 minutes from the heart of the city. Anyway, I don’t really know what else I should say about myself, but I’m looking forward to meeting everyone.
