Flatbush may only be a little over one square mile, but within it are many different sections with characteristics that define them as different. To tell you of the houses in Ditmas Park, isn’t to describe the apartments at Ditmas & Flatbush.
Each section is a different area, with information specific to what it is to be there. Go through them in order, and it’s almost like you’re taking a long walk.
From Church and Coney over to Lenox Rd.
Back down to Church and on towards Flatbush.
Walk down Flatbush to Cortelyou.
Walk from Cortelyou to Ditmas Park.
And from Ditmas Park to Ditmas & Flatbush.
A little over 3 miles in 6 clicks of the mouse. Clicking through the pages is like seeing the shifts in demographics, in architecture, in environment change for yourself.
One thing that never really changes though? The sound of a busy deli. The Nostrand Express on Flatbush and Ave H, sounds much like the popular places by Newkirk Plaza, or Cortelyou Station.
That and a bacon egg and cheese.
