The purpose of our site is to introduce the demographics of people from the Dominican Republic across Staten Island. To support this we created graphs and charts to help further show the percentages on Staten Island and in the general population of the five boroughs. We also went to institutions on Staten Island to get better insight into the Dominican culture. The one market we went to showed us the different products used in some Hispanic households. The second restaurant/deli we went to incorporated American necessities with delicious authentic Dominican cuisine. Overall, we wanted to use this site to share our information of the Dominican culture across Staten Island.
Danielle Riili- A freshman in the Macaulay program at the College of Staten Island. She is majoring in biology and eventually wants to become optometrist.
Kaitlyn Kelly- Also a freshman in the Macaulay program at the College of Staten Island. She is majoring in nursing and hopes to become a nurse practitioner.
