Lower East Side
The central Lower East Side is distinct in it’s collision between high and low – trendy boutiques and art galleries sandwiched between mom and pop shops and vice versa. Hurricane Sandy, however, brought both of these ends of business and industry to meet. Neither could open for business because there was no power or heat, or were effected by flooding. In these documentary, we hope to evaluate through a compare and contrast narrative, the impact of the hurricane on these two ends.
