When planning our visits to various Houses of Worship in the Lower Manhattan, one institution that caught our attention was the True Buddha Diamond Temple of Lower Manhattan. Our professor along with a couple of classmates recommended that we visit the temple, so we decided to see it for ourselves.
As Lana and I approached the the corner of Washington and Rector streets, we didn’t see anything that resembled a temple. As we proceeded down Washington Street, we saw a building covered in scaffolding and wondered if this was our destination. Sadly, it seemed the famous Buddha Diamond Temple was no longer; a condemned, creaky building only stood in its place. We captured a few images of what once seemed to be a vibrant house of worship and went on our way.
