While a bit outside of the realm of Lower Manhattan, we decided to take a peek at the Quaker Meeting House on East 16th street. Affiliated with the Friends Seminary school, Quakers gather on both a weekly and monthly basis to worship and discuss religious texts. The House also hosts various social events, including musical events and tea gatherings. While not that bustling as we passed it, the Quaker meeting house seems to be a wonderful place for Quakers to gather in Manhattan.
