This week, I got organized and did my work in a timely manner (school work and my hobby outside of school). Even though I tell others to take care of themselves mentally and physically, I stopped making that a priority given the amount of work I had with college starting. However, I’ve managed to turn this around and this week I’ve finally begun to do what I love again: physical activity. Since I won’t be heading into a gym any time soon (I don’t want to risk putting my family in danger just to lift some weights), I’ve challenged myself to do exercises with what I have. I go for a 6 mile run every 2 days, and do resistance training with either weights for both my upper and lower body(I have dumbbells ranging from 10-50 lbs), or as I did on Sep. 30th, my gymnast rings for (mainly) my upper body. I honestly missed moving and challenging myself to be a better athlete, and couldn’t be happier that I managed to fit it back into my daily routine. I guess the big idea to take away from this is make time for yourself to do what you like. You’ll benefit from it immensely. Have a lovely day, evening, or night (depending on whenever you’re reading this), and please, take care of yourself and do what you love.
Best,

I’m in the same boat, as someone who, especially in these dull times of semi quarantine, finds solace in working out to pass the time. However, I actually have the ability to go to a local gym, mostly because it’s usually empty and I happen to be the person there most obsessed with cleanliness, separately sanitizing every single part of a machine or weight that my hand would have to touch. Regardless, with cases appearing to spike again in NYC(and not due to gym re-openings, I believe) this may be a short term endeavor.
