Introduce yourself to your classmates: compose a concise self-portrait (in words) and add a photo.
It’s informal and open-ended writing, like saying a friendly “hello” to us, but informative, relating something specific about who you are and what you bring into the class. Tell us about your career plans, if they are clear, or perhaps about your doubts, if significant. Indicate your special areas of interest, your passions or talents. Maybe give us a quick update about your summer or the h.s. graduation that occurred under the extraordinary circumstances. Maybe let us know the name of your amazing dog (cat? hedgehog?). Maybe add a few words about your favorite place in New York (or OUT of New York)…
Note: You control what you want to reveal. Think about what information you consider relevant and want to share, and how you present it. Besides introducing yourself, that’s also part of how you construct your “public persona” and shape your relationship with the world.
