Snapshot NYC- Yash Bhardwaj

Image 4012

Penetrating the sky with a sudden force, the giants slowly rise from the ground. Destroying everything in their path, the giants perplex all the creatures in their vicinity. Everyone is forced to take notice, while trembling with fear and admiration. Everything comes to a stand still, the cars, the people, the air, and even mother nature. The rays from the sun embellish the giants by giving them an unnatural beauty. Seeing these 5 giants stand without fear, other giants slowly come out of their caves. Slowly but steadily, the giants foreshadow of whats to come in the future.

This picture is great, I love the way the buildings look tilted. This leaves a stunning impression on viewers, and it also seems that the buildings are reflected the sky above.

  2. I agree. I like how the buildings are lined up in a row and how the lighting reflects off of them. It’s interesting that in the photo there is someone else also trying to capture this moment.

I enjoy this picture mainly because of the buildings. The parallelism and light reflecting off the buildings make the photograph seem surreal. The photographer in the foreground seems insignificant compared to the buildings because they are so big and I this picture even implies that we’re all insignificant because NYC is large and filled with so much life.

This photo is incredibly bold, with the buildings standing side-by-side. The yellow taxis add to the NYC vibe, and the fellow photographer emphasizes how the setting is monumental.

I love this photo! The repeating pattern of the buildings retreating into the background creates interest. The diagonal line created by the perspective of the tops of the buildings also gives it the sense of motion.

This picture is really amazing since it incorporates all of the typical elements of NYC. But what really strikes it as unique is how the picture needs to be viewed from bottom up to really appreciate the elevation of the buildings, how the reflection of the sun dazzles the windows, and the blue sky with patches of white clouds. All in all, it’s a great shot.

I really like this picture. It has the characteristic elements of NYC, the buildings, the yellow cabs and the tourist taking a photograph of the buildings adds to what NYC really has.
