Saint Catherine of Alexandria, a mistress of nobility,

yet the lady nev’r alloweth even the emp’r’r himself case doubteth on h’r Christianity.

The emp’r’r tried to deny h’r of faith,

but she kept conv’rting oth’rs regardless if she was safe.

Conv’rting the queen and two hundr’d soldi’rs,

the lady did declare the battleth not yet ov’r.

Despite the coaxing and menace, she didst not giveth in,

but still h’r Christianity wast declared betrayal to kin.

The lady did hold h’r headeth high through thick and thin,

and when threaten’d with death, she didst not giveth in.

But while h’r pride wast v’ry alive, h’r headeth was soon behead’d due to a spike.
