There once was a lady,

With fair skin and flaxen hair,

wings worthy of an angel.

A somebody in search of her soulmate.

She hath traveled trail upon trail,

Fancyin’ a fellow sans a felony.

She claimeth that she wast so close,

the folly of human hope,

As she flew o’er flowers and through flurries,

The dame hath kept one arm outreacheth,

Always approaching embrace,

Never to conjure contact.

There once was a man

A strong jawline and jubilant cheeks,

Wings worthy of an angel.

A somebody in search of his soulmate.

The reach of him hath extended to the edges of the Earth

In search of a delicate dame.

And as the courses of the dame and the man were close to converging,

The dame beset her attention upon a bleating bird.

And by nature of an accident,

she hath overlooked her opportunity.

Never to see the man again,

but her arm perpetually outreached

in hopes of their paths passing once again.
