Lee Quinby is the inaugural Visiting Professor at the Macaulay Honors College of the City University of New York City. She specializes in the study of apocalyptic and millennial belief in American society. Quinby has written three books: Millennial Seduction, Anti-Apocalypse, and Freedom, Foucault, and the Subject of America. She was the editor of Genealogy and Literature and co-editor of Feminism and Foucault and Gender and Apocalyptic Desire. Her journal articles have been published in American Historical Review, Constellations, ESQ, and SIGNS, and she was guest editor of the Women’s Studies Quarterly special issue on “Women Confronting the New Technologies.” She is currently working on a series of essays on apocalypse and film.
