Today was such a bittersweet ending to the class and I just want to say that it has really been a great experience. I was truly fascinated by the different talents that everyone showcased in their final presentations. Not only that, but I was able to see all the new things that we learned about art reflected in the presentations… whether it be art, dance, music, or comedy. I am thankful to have been able to start off my Macaulay seminar classes with such a vibrant and charismatic professor and you guys, my brilliant peers. I will really miss going to all those shows with you guys, eating and passing around candy during the shows, and making fun of each other in class. Class was never boring, and I can honestly say that I had fun through it all!
Yeah I agree, I definitely learned a lot from this course. Being a science person all my life, I never really gave the arts a chance. I probably never would have either, if it wasn’t for the course. But I’m glad I did–I have a newfound taste for certain arts and I can now analyze them properly.
I had so much fun in this class. I learned to do many things as a part of the curriculum and the concerts and shows we went to were most definitely the best part!
Well said Teresa! 😀 I believe you’ve accurately summed up all of our feelings, (or at least mine). ^__^
English comedian Paul Merton once noted: “My school days were the happiest days of my life; which should give you some indication of the misery I’ve endured over the past twenty-five years.”
