A little less than a week ago I ordered a cosplay wig online for Halloween. I was so excited to receive it! I heard the seller was fast and reliable; I ordered one of their wigs.
Last Wednesday I received an email stating that the wig was sent out. That made me happy. After waiting a few business days I noticed that the wig did not not arrive. I assumed it would be delivered on Monday; I waited. Today, I decided to check my email and see how long it was since I received the email from the seller. I decided to click the tracking number in the email and I realized that the package was already delivered! Not only that but to another zip code in the area! How cruel this world must be.. OTL
Why is this related to the Arts in NYC? Why would I spend $30 just to cosplay? I guess for the same reason that people spend money to go see movies, visit museums or even listen to music. I enjoy it. Cosplaying is an interactive art where not only do you dress as a character but you become the character for a day. Cosplay is a combination of two words: costume and roleplay. Without the roleplaying aspect you are just dressing up. Without the costume you are just you pretending to act like someone else. It’s a fun activity that many people participate in, especially during last weekend’s Comic Con convention. So my question is how many of you like to cosplay? If you do not cosplay would you consider cosplaying in the future? Why or why not?
I cosplayed as Poison Ivy for last year`s Animazement. Twas cool.
I cosplayed as Justin Bieber for Rosh Hashanah.
