New York City is a place that is made up of art. No matter where you are in City whether is be the subways, parks or in a building, there is art surrounding you.
This Arts in New York City class has exposed me to the different sides of New York City that I never knew existed. Being a New Yorker, I have always walked through the streets completely focused on where I was going. After taking this class however, I have come to appreciate the art that is New York City. The sounds of people singing, the graffiti on the sides of buildings and the sculptures found in parks all define this City and contributes to its diversity. I feel that through my three projects, I have represented this very well. After being exposed to all of the different forms of art in New York, I have truly been able to appreciate New York’s diversity and have come to see that the City wouldn’t be as magnificent as it is without it.
